WOMANKIND(A) - Anna Ní Dhúill

MOVED - Sarah Griffin

Nine unique people from different countries are joined by one commonality: they are seeking international protection in Ireland because their identity as LGBTQ+ made living in their home countries unsafe. In this film, they gather in their local LGBTQ+ Community Centre in Dublin to discuss the reasons they were forced to leave their home countries, what life has been like since arriving in a country where it is safe to be who they are, and what their hopes and dreams are for the future.

FLIRT - Aisling Kane, Louis Flanagan

The film begins in the bathroom at a school debs, with KEV, visibly upset.

Then - back in time to see Kev with his friend (and discrete lover) MARK, discuss their debs night and that they are attending with other people. They are joined by LISA, their mutual friend and Kev’s platonic debs date, who seems to acknowledge the relationship between the two boys. Kev reminds Mark to pack for Glasgow, where they are planning to move to, now that school is over.
At the debs, the trio are joined by another friend, BECKY, and her handsome date ANDY. While the debs dinner commences, Kev observes Mark at the opposite table, texting and flirting with other boys, making him suspicious.

SKIN TO SKIN TALKS - Pradeep Mahadeshwar

"The dark skin alien landed in the unknown, unfamiliar and unique landscape from the infinite darkness. He sought stable fertile ground like a dandelion seed floating in the air.

The alien tries to make sense of the new realities of this "New" land. He meets the native species; they look different from him. They don't accept him as he looks different and has no references to his kind of aliens. Walking through the unknown landscape, lonely in search of a kiss, he tries many ways to be one of them. Rejected and disowned, he immerses himself in the cold river of isolation to heal the wounds of exclusion all over his skin.

DAISY: PROPHET OF THE APOCALYPSE - Venus Patel

‘Daisy: Preacher of the Apocalypse’ is a mockumentary/experimental film that follows a radical Trans preacher and her cult following. After an encounter with a queer goddess atop a mountain, Daisy embarks on a journey to prophesy the end of the world, and save as many people as she can. She promises salvation for those who denounce heterosexuality, resulting in their ultimate rebirth as monsters in the New Queer World.
